Texas Essay Editors is an exclusive writing tutoring service for select clients in Dallas / Fort Worth that combines instruction in expository writing with online essay editing and research support. We serve students of all learning styles across the humanities and social sciences. Each client consults directly with college professor Scott Gleeson, an internationally respected art critic and journal publisher.
Scott Gleeson is an alumnus of Dallas’ most elite private schools who has been teaching college students for nearly ten years. Scott will contact you for a free consultation and prepare an Estimate for your writing project.
To approve the Estimate, pay a 50% Non-Refundable Deposit (itemized on invoice).
Upon receipt of Payment, we will share a Google Drive folder where you may upload your rubric and related project files. If you do not have a digital copy of your rubric, upload a photo or screenshot.
Scott will review all files and contact you for your first phone session. All editing will be conducted over Google Docs, Text Message and Phone sessions.
Invoices (due upon receipt) for time spent in excess of the deposit amount will be sent on an hourly or weekly basis depending on the scope of the project and client billing status. Regular clients enjoy flexible invoicing and generous referral credits. We coordinate billing directly with parents, so please provide complete contact details to prevent service delays.
Writing Tutoring is billed at a rate of $75 per hour in 1-minute intervals ($1.25/min).
Clients may expect 4-12 hours of editorial support per assignment depending upon student ability and assignment length. Much of this time is invested in research and readings of all related assignment source materials followed by phone chats and detailed copyediting of at least 2 drafts. TxEE maintains faculty access to university libraries to facilitate interdisciplinary research support.
Writing Tutoring is designed for select clientele at Dallas / Fort Worth preparatory schools and universities seeking editorial support for a minimum of 1-3 assignments per semester (6-12 hours). Students with learning differences are especially encouraged to contact us. We also assist students with sports-related head injuries.
At this time, we do not assist ESL students or students outside the US.
We encourage all clients to schedule tutoring early in the semester upon receipt of your syllabus.
